I am a Sales Operations Executive on team *shopt. My day to day is generally focused on support across the operations and sales teams, this mainly focuses on responding to retailer communications, client support, and sales administration.
The operations team focuses on ensuring users of the *shopt app are supported whether that’s signing up or helping to answer any questions that retailers have when using the app. Our focus is ensuring that *shopt is user friendly and provides the best service to our users and the brands who are using the app.
The most rewarding part of my role is being able to support users of the app with their questions and receiving positive feedback from our users once we have supported with their questions/requests.
My role helps to connect brands with retailers as I am regularly feeding back our user’s thoughts and experiences of the app to the sales team. This way they can discuss these points with the clients to ensure we deliver the most user friendly and dynamic content/rewards to the users of *shopt.
Currently heading up a project to reinforce operational rigour within the sales team and throughout client processes, from onboarding to campaign briefing to ensure knowledge share and best practise process documentation.
The excitement around the future of *shopt for me is focused on our ability to be dynamic in terms of rewards, content, and the solutions we offer to clients. This allows us to provide new and exciting content for both users and brands at pace.
Not sure how possible this would be but a sharing bag of crisps that would taste like the ‘Crispy chili beef’ one would acquire from a local Chinese takeaway.
Favourite nostalgic treat would have to be the 30p fizzy sweet bags I would pick up on the way home from school – these were a small mix of a variety of ‘fizzy’ sweets.
I would say if Paul Mescal would play me as a character that would be exciting stuff but more likely to be a Jonah Hill lookalike.
If I were to swap roles with anyone from the team, I would choose Chris (who featured on a previous blog which is very interesting, and I think all should read!).
